Code of Conduct
Last updated: March 24, 2026
Rafa League is built on mutual respect, fair play, and community. To ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all players, we enforce a strict Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy. Participation in the league requires all players to read, understand, and agree to this policy.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Rafa League maintains zero tolerance for the following behaviors:
- Abuse or harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical, or emotional (toward players, referees, teammates, spectators, or staff)
- Discriminatory remarks or conduct based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability
- Violent or reckless play, including intentional fouls or retaliation
- Deliberate dishonesty or unsporting conduct during gameplay
- Intoxication or substance use (alcohol or drugs) before or during games
- Any and all behavior that violates the facility rules and policies
- Any other behavior that is deemed inappropriate or disruptive by the league organizers
Rafa League games are officiated by referees who are responsible for enforcing the rules.
Players must respect referee decisions at all times. Brief clarification is acceptable, but arguing, dissent, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward referees will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the game or league.
Violations of this policy will result in immediate removal from the league and possible suspension or ban from future seasons.
Player Discipline
In the absence of referees, each player is responsible for upholding the spirit of the league. Referees may issue blue or red cards to players for fouls or behaviour they deem unacceptable. Players must accept these decisions and abide by the rules regarding blue and red cards. The League may review incidents and impose additional disciplinary action if necessary.
Alcohol & Substance Use
Alcohol and drug use is strictly prohibited at all games, both on the field and within the facility (including sidelines and parking lots).
Players who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will be removed from the game and may be subject to disciplinary action.
Captains are responsible for helping enforce this policy with their teams.
Spirit of the League
Rafa League exists for players who want a fun, competitive, and respectful soccer experience. Every player contributes to that culture.
We ask all participants to:
- Treat opponents like teammates
- Keep emotions in check — even when it gets heated
- Focus on building a positive, long-term soccer community
Thank you for doing your part in making Rafa League a fun, competitive, and respectful experience for everyone!
